THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE
In 2013 I was approached by the Mail Online to help attract entertainment clients to the site. It was one advertising sector that was elusive to the publisher, so we decided to form a partnership with one of my existing clients, Lionsgate Films UK, to create a format first takeover to run on the showbiz & entertainment section of the site for the theatrical release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
The concept was to produce a fully immersive takeover that would feature content from the movie and also editorial articles about the movie franchise and it’s stars written by the Daily Mail.
The impact & success of this campaign encouraged other entertainment clients to follow suit and to use The Mail online to successfully target their audience.
